You are an oasis in this wasteland of a profession. Please take all the time you need and when you are ready, we will be here taking strength and energy from your words to make things better.

Anjali - I just wanted to say that, as a fellow RD, you have helped me think deeply about issues I hadn't considered but also to put words to thoughts and observations I've had but never quite been able to express. Your work is really, really needed in our space!

Anjali! As a totally non-professional reader, I want to say I've loved every email (essay? issue? You are my only substack, I don't know the terminology). You make very technical things completely understandable for us laypeople, and write with a critical eye that pulls no punches but is also generous and open-minded. I will miss these.

Your work is deeply appreciated Anjali. Take all the time you need to figure out what you and your family needs and wants.

We will be here waiting patiently and sending support in the meantime.

Just echoing what others are saying--though I will miss your posts, juggling summer/work/writing/parenting is a real challenge and it’s totally understandable to need a break! FWIW, I think of subscriptions as supporting the writer and their work regardless of the amount of content they create, so would be happy to continue supporting even through breaks or reduced posting schedules. I hope you are able to find a sustainable solution that will allow you to keep writing and sharing because your work is important! Wishing you well as you navigate this tricky time 💗

I don't know if it's possible to choose to remain paying my subscription, regardless of your pause...but if so I would like to do that. Wishing you lots of insights in this time and space!

Ah man, I'm sad to hear that this far the maths isn't quite making sense because I really enjoy this newsletter and I wish that the maths behind it made it more sustainable. I hope that you find a way but if not then I absolutely enjoyed all the things you've written for it so far! I'm not quoting Eat, Pray, Love (more paraphrasing really;) but in ruin we can sometimes see the road to transformation! I hope a route appears for you and also for your readers! Sending love! Xx

Echoing the comments below me!! I am so grateful to have you as a friend and fellow RD and a sounding board for so many of our nutrition world's challenges. Your voice and newsletter are incredible, and too important to ever been small. Will ALWAYS be here to continue supporting any work you put into this world, whatever and however it is!!

A bit of a sideways comment but here goes. Before I started reading your newsletter I became a paying subscriber to several other substack newsletters, and my substack budget is all used up. I wish I could somehow transfer my support to you. I feel that your voice is one I just don't hear anywhere else. At least I can say that I value what you're doing and hope you can find a way to continue.

I've learned so much from your newsletter and really appreciate your work, so thank you so much for creating this space. I'll be here when you come back and I hope the pause helps you end up exactly where you need to be.

I am deeply grateful for the thought provoking newsletters that you’ve put out and appreciate that you’re taking time to care for yourself and family.

Someone else in the comments made this suggestion but I would also be happy to keep my subscription active while you take a pause so you can have some funds to come back to.

Wishing you and your family an abundance of rest and wellness.

As others have said, I'm so grateful for the work you've done and put into this newsletter thus far. We need it in dietetics, and culturally!

FWIW, I'd be happy to continue paying to make this a space that's maybe slightly more sustainable to come back to. I don't know if that's an option within Substack, but, just putting it out there! And let's chat, if you have any interest in taking on a side project with a weight-inclusive organization ;)
