Never in my entire life I have witnessed such a distance between “the people” and “their governments” as in these months in Europe. My heart bleeds, twice because I think that most of the people will forget about everything, when it’s time to vote again.
The health care community is emotionally drained and conflicts where there is unethical treatment on both sides requires a level of empathy I think is lacking. There is a growing discomfort in taking sides because of the fear that a dietitian might be disliked or accused of being wrong. As you pointed out, how is it wrong to take a stand for human rights? Why is there a question about this in the dietetic community? I have many thoughts and theories that run much deeper that the human right atrocities in Gaza. It takes courage to draw a line in the sand and say, “This is wrong.” Your article has done this. Feeling gratitude. 🥰🙏💕
This is so, so important. Thank you for this.

Feeling the same way over here in the U.S. 💔
